You should build a solar oven, even if it is just for fun
Well, the fact is that if you live in an area where the solar over is a must, or at least a very useful device, there is one thing. If you live in an area where it only brings you the joy of building it, I mean if you just build it for fun, there is another thing.
Let’s think about it: a solar over may be a great project to build, even if it is not something you really need, and if you have your normal, regular cooker inside. or the grill outside. Whatever.
You can still build your oven powered by solar power just to feel good and have a great time, after all, anything you build on your own, with your own hands, is great. Trust me, it is in our nature to feel this way.
The fact is that in order to build a solar oven, you don’t need much, and the level of skills, well, it’s basic, a high school student can do it, no time, as a school project (remember how good you felt when building those high school projects? Think about it and build one more this time!)
There are these days enough things to keep us busy and make us feel stressed and having one small passion, one small hobby or at least something to take our minds away from the big things like money, food, family, homes, anything that could drive us away from these things is a good thing. Building a solar cooker may just be one of these. I know I have a few side projects that I like to work in my spare time and it makes me feel great, after all it is a great joy to see something built on your own.
I work on my computer all day long and usually the only things I produce are virtual products, computer based and thus, when I see people building houses, bridges or in this case sun ovens, it makes me feel great. That is why I started this project, to see how well I can manage with such a project.
And you know what? if I can do it, you can do it also, all you need is to get it started and read a bit about it on the internet, usually you can find there a lot of great information about how to build one! Usually it will give you more than enough information to be able to put one in place yourself. Really!
All you need is to start your own solar oven project right this very moment, it will also help making a small difference in saving the planet!
