A few good books about solar cooking

Because I speak here about cooking with solar power and I give recipes here and there, I thought about publishing here a good list of books on this topic. So I went to Amazon and made a small but good selection of books that you might read if you are really passionate about the topic.

Let’s see:

Cooking with Sunshine: The Complete Guide to Solar Cuisine with 150 Easy Sun-Cooked Recipes

A good book with, as the title says, 150 sun cooking recipes. It has there almost everything you want and need to know about solar cooking. Also, the author, Lorraine Anderson explains in details how solar cookers work and how to build your own. Pretty good book, I would say. The price is around $15

Another one is Solar Cooking for Home and Camp is a $10, 5 stars rated book, written by Linda Frederick Yaffe, who also wrote a few other good books on camping, hiking and nature.

The Solar Chef is a book that received the Honorable Mention in the 2007 DIY Book Festival:Cookbook division –diyreporter.com, which tells a few things about it. It comes at $14.99 and it has almost everything you need to know about solar cooker recipes and cooking with the sun.

For everything else, you just go to Amazon and search for keywords like solar cooker recipes or similar, you will find plenty of books.

Ah, yes, and if you don’t have one already or don’t wish to build one yourself, you can just buy a solar cooker from Amazon. It’s easy!
