Hybrid solar oven? What’s that?

With a hybrid sun oven, the weather doesn’t matter

Well, pretty simple: the hybrid solar oven is a sun cooker with regular power backup source. Meaning that if the sun goes out, you won’t be starving. Period.

The idea is good and you must agree that they had their reasons when they built that solar oven this way. Usually cooking with the sun takes a bit of time, like 4-6 hours and you need to have a good weather all this time. But in some areas, it happens that clouds appear when you least expect it or who knows, maybe to start raining? Or maybe you decided to start cooking your meal a bit too late.

Well, for those moments, the power source used as a backup is what you need. Just plug your oven into the socket and there you go, prepare your meal in no time.

For example, Tulsi-Hybrid Solar Cooking Oven is one great option, and it is also more efficient than a regular oven: it consumes 75% less energy in case you use it plugged in. Pretty efficient, if you ask me!

OK, we don’t speak about a windshield sun powered cooker or about a homemade one, but about a portable hybrid solar oven that costs around $240, so it is not quite cheap, but it will do the job in no time, no matter the conditions.

OK, in some areas of the world or in some outdoor locations, where a power source will not be available, the fact that it has hybrid power source will not be of any help, you will still be using it a s a regular sun oven, but it will do the job great, since it allows you to cook 4 different foods at the same time, has a thermometer that tells you the temperature inside, has large internal cooking chambers,  double rubber oven seals for better long-term heat retention.

In a few words, a great hybrid solar oven, don’t you think?
